As we end 2016 and start the beginning of a new and hopeful year I would like to share a few thoughts with you that I have had in business and personal growth. Every year in life and in business there is always something new and exciting to try and learn. This time I decided to embark on a new business adventure in addition to my wedding photography business.
As many of you do not know, my stepchild of 9 years passed away of a heroin overdose 8 years ago. Tori was only 17 years young and had her whole life ahead of her, so we thought. Her short journey on this earth is beyond sad to me and I hope to someday tell Tori's Story. If I didn't witness and live it, I would not believe how our judicial system put this child in arms way with a documented, drug addicted, biological parent.
I have done many things in her honor to bring awareness to drug use in our children. One child is too many to lose to heroin and it is now such an epidemic all across the United States. I believe awareness and fear of this evil drug is the key to saving our children.
I have always found peace and enjoyment in gardening and everything related to it, so I came up with a great idea to open a garden boutique and call it Seeds... in order for anything to Bloom it must start from a seed to grow. You need to take care of your seed and protect it from harm, feed and water it so it can grow into a beautiful flower. Someday I hope to make Tori proud with a garden boutique called Seeds in her memory :) Wish me luck and have a blessed new year!
